ME.
I started my career in the fashion industry running around midtown NYC, searching for the most obscure trims and spending long hours in the wash rooms of fashion houses, painstakingly dyeing cloth the perfect shade of blue. Since my post-grad hustle, I have worked for both small and large companies, learning that I work best in collaborative design teams, where I usually play the role of challenging my team’s ideas and pushing creative boundaries. I design both men's and women's apparel, and have industry training in both knit and woven construction, at both high end and commercial apparel brands. Outside my day job, I continue to expand my creative process by volunteering with Nest, a non-profit working towards the economic and social advancement of artisan communities around the developing world, educating myself about the apparel industry's new sustainable manufacturing technologies, and sewing in my free time. I love hunting for vintage and second-hand clothing and observing street style in my city, Oakland, CA.
